We had been thinking about getting him one for Christmas, because there are so many great learning apps on it, and as much as we travel it would definitely come to use, but thought it was a little extreme for a 1 year old to get an iPad for Christmas.
I should've just bought one for him anyways because I get tired of hearing him and Ray fight for it :)
The boy can work this thing like no other. He knows where to start his movies, he can scroll through his files of pictures and point out the family members. He knows how to restart it as well as work the volume. He knows which apps are which and when he does his learning shapes and letter apps it's pretty entertaining. He knows where the color board is and how to change the colors and then erase it all when he wants a new clean board. He has this animal sound app where you match the sounds with the animals, and as soon as he passes all the levels, he's cheering. He knows where to plug it in and charge it and when the battery is dying because he will say "uh-oh" once the battery icon turns red.
I really need to film him working it because it's hilarious. When we fly people just stare at him on the plane while he goes about his business with "his" iPad. It's hilarious because he has these chubby big hands and to see him sit and swipe the screen is pretty funny.
Oh the things they learn so young.
