Dry VS Humid

I've come to the conclusion that I prefer the dry heat over the humid heat. 

I am L.O.V.I.N.G. this Utah weather. It is perfect, and the best thing about it.... I don't sweat like crazy and there aren't mosquito's the size of hummingbirds attacking me like a vampire. 

I've been spending so much time outside, and it's so nice to just sit outside on the patio for hours at a time. You just cannot do that in Florida. It's nice to go to Taylorsville Days and not be soaking wet by the time you walk from your car to the rides. It's nice to be able to do your hair and have it stay in place. It's nice to do your makeup and NOT sweat it off. It's nice to not have that smell of humidity on everything. It's nice to not have to do your laundry immediately for fear of mold growing on your damp clothing. 

Don't get me wrong. I love South Florida, and I love the humidity for my skin and my hair.. however, doing pretty much of anything is impossible when you're constantly soaking wet. It feels like you're in a steam room all the time. That's why we spend so much time at the beach and the pool, it's not as bad being wet all the time when you're in a swimming suit. I don't think I could've lasted this summer out there. We would go and watch Ray at practice and be drenched. I don't know how he runs in full pads out there with a helmet and heavy cleats. It's insane. No wonder he gets pumped with IVs after practices. 

I forgot how wonderful Utah weather is until now... I could sit outside all day long. 

I am loving this cool mountain air. It really is so nice here.. yes, it gets hot, but NOTHING like Florida heat. :) I do miss not having to soak myself in Cetaphil out there though. 

It's good to be home this summer!
