15 Weeks and GUESSING?

I had my first check-up with my doctor here in Utah.. it's been about a month since I was seen last and I was sooo happy to be back to my wonderful Doctor Hansen. He is the BOMB and his office is the bomb. I absolutely love him.. although he was out of town when I delivered Toa ;)

I've actually lost another 4lbs so a total of 36lbs, but my doctor wasn't worried at all.. he said it was normal but as long as I wasn't throwing up anymore that I would be okay and just to start faithfully on my pre-natal vitamins.

My Mom came with me because we figured they would do an ultrasound and I wanted her to see how neat it was with TWO in there. Dr. Hansen just did a little ultrasound in the check-up room, and they looked great. I've had a lot of pressure in my pelvic area and now I know why. They are sitting really low, one is head down and the other the opposite direction. They measured about the same and had strong heart beats and were moving around a lot. Which always eases my nerves.. I always get a little on edge before my appointments.. and even moreso now with the twins because I know I'm in a fragile stage.. I worry about them growing the same and getting enough nutrients etc.. I'm starting to feel the flutters, which moreso feel like hunger grumbles, but whatever. :)

I also learned something that I had no idea either because my doctor in Florida just sucked and hence me being back here.. lol. I was told because there were 2 sacs that they were automatically fraternal twins. However, Dr. Hansen informed me that even though they are in 2 sacs, they can still be identical because they can form their own membrane between the two fetuses and create their own sacs.. amazing huh? The only way we will know they are definitely fraternal twins is if it's a boy/girl. If it's 2 of each we won't be able to tell until they are born. Sooo, I could be having identical twins! :)

I didn't get any pictures this time around from the little monitor he had, but I go back next Thursday for the gender ultrasound!! YAY!! I am soo excited to find out what they are.. We don't know if Ray will be here or not, so I think we just might Skype with him while we're at the appointment.
I'm hoping this week goes by really fast.

Good news is that he said if I make it to 37 weeks then he will take the twins then, with me having such a large first baby he thinks these babies will be a pretty good size (fingers crossed). I really hope I go to the 37 weeks because that is 11.11.11 and I wanted to have a baby on 11.11.11 this year, so I might just get my wish come true..again :) 11 is my favorite number. It was my high school and college number in volleyball, and I just like the number. So in reality, I could only have a little over 20 weeks left!!!

Some bad news though, he told me that after 25 weeks I won't be able to travel.. which I figured. :(

Okay, I'm rambling again.. just so much on my mind. I'm really excited for next week and I am soo happy they are growing and healthy!

I'm guessing either a boy/girl or 2 girls... I think at least one of them is a girl, but we shall see!!!

Wow, that's crazy that they could still be identical.....I'm gonna guess that this is the year for twin girls....I don't have that metalic taste in my mouth, but I just don't feel like i'm having a boys, or a boy....I could totally be wrong though! So excited to hear the results next Thursday....and hopefully see some pictures! :) I can't believe you've lost 36lbs, that's crazy....I'm so glad you're feeling better though! And so glad we get to share this experience together....I'm just a few weeks behind you! :) Love ya girl!

my baby was just born 1/11/11 (scheduled c-section) the doc said if we hurried maybe we could get another in on 11/11/11 LOL, we weren't interested in another so quickly, but that'd be a fun birthday :) good luck with everything, and I loved those cupcake ides for the thing 1 & 2 theme. cute!

I'm so excited for you! Twins...so fun! A little work at first, but once they are grown, it's the best.

That is so neat, I never knew you could still have identical twins in different sacs either. How exciting for you to be finding out what you're having on Thursday. Hopefully Ray will be able to be here when you do.. :) Is it just me, or is your pregnancy going by really fast?? Lol
