Hungry Hungry Hippo

I've finally been able to eat a little this last month, and now I feel like a big fatso..although there are only certain things I can eat.. I've gone in these weird little spurts of things I want to eat.. Not so much 'cravings', but just things that I know won't come up and actually taste ok.

The metallic taste has almost disappeared, but I still get really bad after tastes with food and I think I will be a vegetarian after this pregnancy. The thought, smell, and sight of any meat makes me physically ill..I can still only drink water, which is a good thing. I don't have much of an appetite other than a few choice things. We went to Leatherby's the other night and I managed to scarf down an entire Black & Tan which tasted so good and didn't leave a bad after taste.

So, my first food that I wanted everyday, for about 2 weeks was
Chili's Chicken Enchilada Soup. However, I had to tell the waiter that I only wanted the broth, no chicken or cheese or tortilla strips. After the 2 week spurt, I don't think I can eat this soup again.

Next was:
Olive Garden pasta fagioli and salad. This lasted for about another 2 weeks and thank goodness because $14 a day for this was not helping my budget :)

This past week it has been
Loaded with cheese and jalapenos. It HAS to be from 7-11 too. I tried nachos from Holiday Oil and they're not the same. I've had this twice a day since June 30th and this is kind of what I'm stuck on for the moment. Matter of fact, I'm going to 7-11 right now to get my lunch. I'm glad I can handle the jalapenos and not get heart burn because they taste sooo good. I love spicy food and I thought I wouldn't be able to handle it, but I guess the twinkies will come out speakin' Spanish! I will seriously sit and smell the hot sauce in the fridge.. and eat salsa by the spoonful. Yummy stuff.

When I was pregnant with Erick I loved spicy food and hotter than I normally liked. Now my son is part mexican but the kid will down salsa and anything hot.

Man that totally reminds me of being pregnant! My first food I thought I could eat was mcdonalds chicken strips. I ate it all the time for about three weeks! Then never again! It's crazy what your body does when you are pregnant:)
