Halloween is by far my favorite holiday... {until Christmas comes around. :) Then that's my favorite holiday!} However, I love October, and Halloween, and fall....I love the history of Halloween and haunted houses and getting dressed up. I love the trick-or-treaters and the smell of fall. I love all the festivites there are to do. It is such a fun time, and I can't wait until Toa is old enough to be just as excited because right now he could give a rats. He just wanted to play with the yard decor more than anything.
Fall has been different in the Sunshine State.. a little frustrating at times. For instance we went on a hayride ther other day. It was 90 degrees, no kind of breeze and not a cloud in the sky. The line was ridiculously long for the three minute ride, but it's all about memories right? ;)
Halloween night was amazing though. It was like everything you see on TV.
Ray said it was like Halloween on E.T.
There were hundreds of Trick-Or-Treaters in the streets. Everyone decks their house out spooky and has parties in their driveways and sits around bon fires and hands out candy. It was so festive...
Ray's friend John builds a Haunted House throughout his yard every year. He invited us to come and check it out and it was legit! There were hundreds of people lined up to go through and there was about a 35 minute wait. They do an amazing job... there was a swamp monster, a hospital, chainsaw guy and a flying Jeepers Creepers in a barn. He puts so much time and effort {and money} into this thing.. I'm so happy we went and checked it out.....
