The 4th of July is one of my favorite holiday's. How awesome is it that we celebrate the birthday of our country? So fun. Fireworks, good food, and even better company.
Celebrating in Utah is fun too because when the 4th lands on a Sunday, we celebrate all weekend and even Monday!
Saturday night we went to the West Jordan City celebration with Kam, Matina and Elway. I love seeing the excitement on Toa's face.. everything is just absolutely amazing to him. Last year was his first 4th of July, however he was only 5 days old and we slept the whole day... He danced, he rode rides, ate Funnel Cake and caramel apples.
Heaven.
Sunday we BBQd with my family at my parents and my Mom made the most amazing apple glazed ribs. I made some watermelon otai and we had pumpkin pie, rootbeer floats and set off our own box of fireworks for the kids..
Toa wasn't quite sure what to think of them... at times he would clap, other times he looked confused like someone was going to get hurt. He really dislikes loud noises so when the firecrackers went off he got a little irritated. It was nice spending the day with each other though.
Oh, if you watched the New York City Firework Spectacular on NBC, wasn't that brilliant?? That's a goal to one day go there and watch it live... it was so neat and synchronized perfectly.
Thank you to all of our troops who fight for my family's freedom. There's not a day that goes by that we don't appreciate all your sacrafices and services..... I love this country. I am proud to be an American.....Happy 4th everyone!

we love the 4th too. we spent it in Texas but still had a blast!!! love all the pics especially of Toa on the rides. what a smile! :)
