It all started once I got down here to Florida.... all I've wanted was chocolate chip cookies.
Homeade chocolate chip cookies.
I've made them nine, yes nine times.
To add to the terrible-ness of it, I'M the one who has eaten about 99% of the cookies too.
I love this cookie.. we call it the Prophet Cookie..
Why?
Kamie got this recipe from a friend who's mom actually made these cookies for the open house dedication for the Draper, Utah LDS Temple. The Prophet, Thomas S Monson, loved this cookie so much, he tracked down the ward who made the refreshments, and found who made the chocolate chip cookies and requested another batch. She in return made him a magic cookie jar and filled it up with cookies, with a note that said to send the jar back empty and it would be returned full of cookies. When we got this recipe, he had sent it back three times already.. therefore, we named it the Prophet Cookie.
PS.. there is a batch of cookies baking as I write this.. :)
