My passion has always been cancer awareness...
since my Dad was diagnosed, Prostate Cancer has been my main focus.
Those who actually read my blog {insert HUGE thank you here} know that I talk alot about this topic and how important it is for us to get the men in our lives checked.. Our Dads, Brothers, Uncles, Sons, Cousins, Husbands etc... This cancer is as common or more in men as breast cancer is in women.
Every October is breast cancer awareness month, which I'm all for.. when you go to the stores they sell everything pink to go to breast cancer research. Everything from spatula's to ice cream to razors. Even the NFL sports pink gloves, cleats, and mouth pieces to support the cause...I love how much support they get.
My dream is to have the same happen for Prostate Cancer awareness..during a seminar, it was made clear that breast cancer awareness gets sooo much funding because the women speak up and they make it happen. I want to make it happen for prostate cancer research... I can't make that happen without support though...
Next September we are working towards getting the NFL to sport baby blue during games for this cause... PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION to help make this happen. It is due November 1st and we need as many signatures as possible.. it takes five seconds of your time..
