I have been blessed with amazing friends. Now, I have a lot of acquaintances, but real, true friends, my circle is rather small.. I've had the same bestest of friends all my life....what's amazing is along my journey of being an adult, I've been graced with a few wonderful women who I've been able to add to my "life-long" friends list.... Judi (with an i) is one of them.

I met Judi last year when Ray signed with the Dolphin's. Her boyfriend Kory was already playing here.. the funny story behind this, is that both Ray and Kory were with the San Diego Chargers prior to signing with the Dolphin's. We just never crossed paths in San Diego, but found out we stayed in the same hotel, ate at the same restaurants, and sat in the same section at the games there.

Kory is part Hawaiian and also played in the MWC at Colorado State. He originally thought Ray was a jerk, because Ray is so quiet, and Kory tried talking to him after a BYU game in 2008 and Ray just nodded his head. They became great friends here in Miami.... In September though, Kory was taken back to the Chargers and Judi in tow :(

One thing about Judi is she is just a sweetheart.... a genuine sweetheart! She's a Teacher, and just a great woman to be around. It's like I've known her forever. I can talk to her about anything knowing she isn't passing judgement...she's crafty and works out like a machine.. I just love her. Her and Kory were soo good with Toa and Toa loved them so much.

Well, today we received a very generous box in the mail. My reasoning for posting this isn't to say "ha, look what I have" but just to showcase what an amazing person Judi is and how thoughtful her and Kory are. We miss having them here so badly, but we know we will see each other during the offseason.. (their wedding, right Kory??)

I cried. I'm a bawl baby though. It was just really touching and just made me remember how much I miss having them here.....

She made me a beautiful Thank You card (told you she was crafty), and sent Toa two awesome toys.

She also sent me a $15 iTunes card to make me a playlist to run to and a $50 gift card to PF Changs for Ray and I to go on a date.

I am so grateful for Judi's friendship. I can only hope I have been as good a friend to her as she has been to me.. Her and Kory were so great when Ray was in his car accident and really stepped in as family here. I miss my game day partner, and my Starbucks buddy...
