We had a nice Halloween this year. It was fun to be in Utah, but it was COLD! Toa and I hung out most the day, I really wanted to do some fun things with him, but I'm not getting around very easily these days, and I get so exhausted so quickly, I was saving my energy for later on. Toa was the most handsome little Dracula.. he had the hissing scare down and everything! His hair was perfect for it!
Kuuipo sent me the idea for my costume. I made this with freezer paper and fabric paint! I was pretty proud of my turnout. :) Only cost me $8 to make this!
Saturday before Halloween, we went to Kuuipo's ward party. It was fun, they were in charge of it. They had a chili cook off and tons of games. Toa is still at an age where he doesn't really care for the games, or know what's going on, so he ran around for a few hours and then we left. I was so tired chasing him around. I really miss Ray!
Halloween night, we went and trick-or-treated at Ray's parents house with Elway. These boys loaded up on half their candy. Then we went to my Grams and Gramps house and then headed to my parents. They set up the fire pit in the front yard to hand out the juice boxes {which are a hit with the kids} and we took Toa and Elway to a few houses to trick-or-treat. Um, tell me why my child thought it was okay to open peoples doors and run into their homes?? After about 3 houses I was done, so we went back to my parents and Matina and my Dad took the boys around to a few more homes. They do a much better job chasing them down then I do. Mom made some yummy homemade bread and chili.. it was a nice night. Toa loved handing out treats to the kids. I think he enjoyed that more than actually getting treats. :) He always made sure he told the kids to "Have fun" I need to upload the video of him handing out treats. He was the cutest little Dracula. We sure did miss Ray though and I know Ray was missing being a part of the festivities with Toa.
