Happy 31st Anniversary

My parents celebrated 31 years of LOVE on January 9th! In 1978 my Dad and his brothers (The Jackson 5) used to play at a restaurant called the Ming and The Hawaiian. My Mom and her family had gone there for dinner one day and my Dad spotted my Marsha Brady lookin' Mom with her stark green eyes and long perfect blonde hair.

How could my Mom resist my handsome Dad and his afro and bell-bottoms to go along with his Elvis-like voice! The rest is history.....My Mom still gets excited when she hears my Dad sing to this day. :) She was 17, he was 19...and they still have eyes for only each other and are a true example of REAL LOVE!

1978 they had my sister Kuuipo
1981 they had me
1985 Kamie came along

1999 they got their first son-in-law Myron

2001 their first grandchild was born Kalena Toalei Vea
2004 came Larissa Lokelani (grandbaby #2)
2006 Karmen was born (grandbaby #3)
2007 Nicea Ku'uipo came (grandbaby #4)

2008 they got two more son-in-laws: Matina and Ray

2009 will bring 2 new grandbabies to the Afo family!!

I want to thank my parents for everything they have done and continue to do. They have truly shown us what unconditional love is and are the most hard-working, humble beings I know. They are the best example of love and are still so in love with each other. They still hold hands, give each other sweet kisses and go on their dates! They have always taught us to stick up for what we believe in and voice our opinions, even if others disagree and to never be afraid to tell them how we feel or what's going on in our lives. My parents know everything about me and our relationship is something I cherish more and more as I get older!

I wish them all the best in their next 30 years and thank them for all they have done for me, my sisters, and our growing families. We love you both more than anything!
